Mahomes is a 16-year-old Appendix — a cross between a Thoroughbred and a Quarter Horse. He’s had a challenging year, recovering from two abscess surgeries and the onset of arthritis. Despite it all, he’s now thriving as our most social therapy horse, always eager to greet and get to know everyone who walks into the barn.
